Late Night Groove Series Featuring Alex Lewinski and Georgia Mooney

Tonight will mark Alex and Georgia’s debut at The Ellington for The Late Night Grooves. Both are graduating this year from WAAPA’s contemporary music course and the two are quickly creating names for themselves as unique and exceptional singers on the Perth music scene.

Having both moved from Sydney to pursue their musical dreams, the two became best friends, sharing a passion for blues, soul, jazz and folk.

Individually, Georgia and Alex are songwriters, performing original material around Perth. Alex recently opened the Song Lounge night at The Ellington alongside Bianca Jade and Rose Parker, and Georgia later this year will be singing at the York Jazz Festival with Helen Matthews. Both have also just done a series of concerts at WAAPA with Katie Noonan.

The combination of Georgia’s deep, sensual tones with Alex’s husky, soulful voice promises to bring a unique, bluesy sound to The Ellington stage. The night will feature duets, harmonies and fun songs to get you dancing! This is a sensational double act not to be missed!
