Late night groove series featuring Riyaana Harman

Riyaana is a performing singer songwriter who has played in Perth for 15 years most recently with P Town Connections with Jade Compton and Amanda D. Riyaana featured with Dr F whose line up included Matthew Branton, Hayden Meggitt, Wayne Strong and Ivan Shaw. Dr F performed funk covers and original compositions. Along with being regularly in demand at leading Perth nightspots Dr F performed at the Basement in Sydney before a capacity audience and supported Macy Gray during the Perth leg of her Australian tour. Aside from Dr F Riyaana further developed her skills with Faces the 13 piece funk band CJ &The T Horns after heating and mixing it up with Fahrenheit and Black Jam. Riyaana has recorded a many original works with diverse musicians including Ben Chase, Matthew De La Hunty, Jade Compton, Trilby Temperly and Lara Stephens. Riyaana has had two songs up in the WAM awards in the last five years Riyaana also has a capacity for stage performance and was shortlisted, reaching the final round, of auditions for the Broadway musical Rent.
