Late night groove series featuring Amrit Sidhu

AMRIT SIDHU Up and coming local soul singer Amrit Sidhu is fast becoming a local fixture on the Perth music scene. Vocally trained since the age of 12, Amrit is currently completing her last year of an Advanced Diploma of Contemporary Music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and intends to further her musical studies by continuing on to the degree of Contemporary Music. Already a seasoned performer with extensive performance experience in musical theatre and dance, Amrit is currently the lead female vocalist in funk cover band Grand Theft Audio, performing regularly around Perth. Amrit has had the pleasure of working with top Australian artists including Anthony Callea, Deni Hines, and has recently added performing alongside Katie Noonan at this year’s production of Jazz in the Theatre: Songs of Lennon and McCartney to her impressive list of accolades. Crediting Jill Scott, Mariah Carey and Aretha Franklin among her main influences, Amrit’s smooth and soulful vocals are sure to capture an audience of all ages.
