Tom Vincent Leigh Barker and Hugh Harvey Tri

Tom Leigh and Hugh completed a hugely successful national tour in 2009, as the Tom Vincent Quartet including Eamon McNelis on trumpet.  In 2010 they are coming back to Perth in trio form to support Branford Marsalis and his Quartet at the Regal Theatre, and will be making a quick side trip to the Ellington for one special night only.

The trio is redefining what it means to play jazz standards, with hard swinging interpretations of the classic repertoire, presented in a totally original format.  With no set arrangements, Tom leads the group through rapid changes of tempo, groove and key, keeping the audience and the musicians on their toes with unexpected segues while never losing the infectious feeling of swing and the blues.  This is group improvisation at its finest.
