Chamber Jam 10
Monday, 29th March @7:30PM

It just gets better and better! Chamber Jam @ The Ellington is a night of chamber music in Perth like no other. Join some of Australia’s leading musicians in three outstanding ensembles performing in one of Perth’s newest, most intimate live music venues. Featuring…
Adam Pinto
Piano
Remarkable pianist, Adam Pinto, returns to Chamber Jam with a host of musical delights. Last time Adam brought a number of incredibly accomplished musicians with him such as the phenomenal ABC Young Artist winner, Shaun Lee-Chen, and cellist Jonathan Tooby. His set at Chamber Jam promises to deliver a no less prestigious line-up and will cover a diverse repertoire, making use of the stunning full-sized Steinway Grand Piano on stage at The Ellington.
Philip Everall
Bass Clarinet and Electronics
Perth native Philip Everall is establishing himself as one of the most versatile bass clarinettists of his generation. Comfortable performing in many genres, Philip has played at New York’s Carnegie Hall, Berlin’s Philharmonie with the Schoenberg Ensemble, Fremantle’s Flag ‘n’ Whistle with his funk band, and pretty much anything in between.
Using a combination of Avant Garde techniques mixed with familiar harmonic dialects (and a bit of pop electronica thrown in for good measure), Philip will give you a performance that will show you the versatility of the modern bass clarinet in a fun, relaxed, but contextually authentic way.
Louise Devenish
Solo percussion featuring vibraphone, marimba and voice
Louise Devenish will be presenting a collection of interesting and varied works for one percussionist. Featuring grooves on the beautifully melodic marimba, this show will also include vibraphone, voice and small instruments. The music will be drawn from a collection of Louise’s own compositions and commissions from Western Australian composers, and will include the premiere of a new work that New Zealand composer e.j. Dobson wrote for Louise after working together in New York in 2009.
