Kenny Garrett Songbook tribute with the Garo Tanzi quartet

Kenny Garrett exploded onto the world stage when he was invited to join legendary jazz icon Miles Davis’ band. Since Miles’ death in 1991, Kenny has cemented his reputation as not only an important saxophone stylist, but as one of the leading composers in modern jazz today. For this evening, explosive up and coming drummer Garo Tanzi has assembled a fiery line-up comprising of some of Perth’s finest young rhythm section players. Tal Cohen on Piano, Karl Florrison on Bass along with Garo on Drums will provide the engine room to drive Carl Mackey, saxophone, on to the necessary heights required to deliver Garrett’s energetic compositions. This night is going to swing and groove hard. This is one not to be missed!
