The Imperial String Quartet
The Imperial String Quartet (ISQ) returns to The Ellington performing their eclectic mix of classical and contemporary pieces. ISQ formed in London in 1997 has performed in concert on numerous occasions as well as for clients such as the British Royal Family! ISQ’s current line-up features members of talented crossover group bojème (Jessica Gethin Violin, Bourby Webster, Viola, Emma McCoy, Cello) with Rachel Aquilina on violin, returning to their classical roots and will be joined by Gaëtan Schurrer from France on laptop for a new composition by Kelly Curran (M People, Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds, Sasha).
Just Sax. with Rhythm!
Tonight we will be focusing on the Theme of Saxophone Quartet with percussion! We will be playing a variety of styles and genres, including classical, folk and jazz with excerpts from Bernstein's west side story and works from American Sax Quartet The Tiptons.
