“The Yacht Rockers” band will be putting on the flares and vests and faithfully reproducing all of the biggest smooth rock artists, including Christopher Cross, The Doobie Brothers, Hall & Oates, Michael McDonald, America, Player, Boz Scaggs, Toto, Dr Hook, The Eagles and many more for a fun filled night 70/80s dress up is highly encouraged.
The term “Yacht rock” refers to the smooth rock format that peaked in popularity between the years of 1975 and 1985. In part, the phrase relates to the stereotype of the yuppie yacht owner, enjoying smooth music while sipping champagne on the back of their yacht.
