William Chiew Sextet

Monday 28 May 7.00pm

Having debuted his music for the first time earlier this year, William Chiew is excited to present another night of music this time at The Ellington Jazz Club. Drawing from the lyricism of Chet Baker and the eloquence of Roy Hargrove, this show will take a voyage with compositions aiming to narrate stories of adventure: joy and sorrow, struggle and triumph. Join them for a night of music ranging from swinging toe-tappers and dancing Latin numbers to mellow ballads and epic odysseys. Showcasing fresh music, this gig will be an exciting array of energetic tunes played by some of Perth’s rising stars.

William Chiew Sextet consists of:

Geordie Bain – Soprano Saxophone
Daniel Khaimov – Alto Saxophone
Tim Voutas – Piano
Michael Ellis – Guitar
Alistair Peel – Bass
William Chiew – Drums
