UNDENIABLE: Carlton Macpherson Pass Valenti Album Launch

Jess Carlton, Kate Pass and Talya Valenti present the launch of Calrton Macpherson Pass Valenti, a live album recorded post-lockdown of July 2021. A moment of togetherness and collaboration encapsulated- a celebration of ‘same time, same place’.
The inimitable voice of our saxophonist, Alana Macpherson will be missed, but we are excited to have the talented Simon Charles stepping in so that we can represent our quartet compositions as they were envisioned and recorded.
The album features original compositions written by all four members of the quartet. These compositions draw inspiration from a number of sources including the loss of people who light up the world, the feminist movement in China, and bushwalking in Walyunga National Park. Despite the variety of compositional styles and influences, the music has come together with cohesion and represents the quartet’s collaborative approach to making new music and improvising collectively. The album title comes from a feeling that the music evokes – a sense of undeniable presence and passion.
