Step into the smokey bars of the 1930s to hear the real stories and the amazing music of the swing era’s legendary performers. Featuring live band Swingin’ at the Savoy and some ridiculously energetic swing dancers, this high paced show will have you cheering for more.

“The Stories of Swing,” takes you on a journey to learn about the greats that influenced the musical genre. We learn about how skat singing was created, some amazing rags to riches stories and watch some fabulous swing dancers, showing us how it’s done, all in one show.” Perth Happenings

Swingin’ at the Savoy have been delighting audiences since 2017. They regularly play sell out river cruises, Ellington Jazz Club shows and festival events.

Sid Hennessy

Sid Hennessy (Double Bass, Vocals) has performed extensively in the UK, Japan and around Australia. He is also a singer and songwriter, playing to audiences of up to 11,000 people.

Randa Khamis (Lead Vocals) is an internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter who has released two singles and two albums worldwide. Her music has also been used on the US television show, Skins.

Barnabas Courtauld (Drums) studied jazz at WAAPA and has three years’ experience in the iconic Corner House Jazz Band.

Mark Wearing (Woodwinds, Vocals) is a multi instrumentalist, trained audio engineer and composer for films.

Jack Kelly (Guitar) is currently studying jazz at WAAPA.

Jacob Greenmount (Piano) is currently studying jazz at WAAPA, he has played in Paris and New York and recorded several albums.

General Admission refers to patrons who have not purchased a membership.

Jazz Standard / Student applies to patrons who have purchased a Jazz Standard Membership and show this card on entry or to students who show their student card on entry.

Duke Duchess applies to those who have purchased a Duke/Duchess membership and show this card on entry.

Table restricted view refers to a few table places which have sight line issues across the grand piano, but allow seated table entry.
