Pretzel Logic - The Music of Steely Dan

Thursday 23 February 7.00pm

Pretzel Logic return to the Ellington. Performing the hip songs of New York’s Steely Dan.

Founded by Cliff Lynton and Bob Hawker in the early noughties, Pretzel Logic has performed regularly in and out-of-town including Houghton’s Winery in the Swan Valley, Perth International Jazz Festival in 2017 and in previous years reeled in many performances at many local venues.

Steely Dan (also known as The Dan) are known for their musical perfectionism in the studio and Pretzel Logic captures this element in a real-live setting, packed with irresistible grooves, bodacious harmonies, sleek subversive lyrics, blazing solo work and a rich ensemble exploring the Jazz, Funk, Rock and R&B groove of the Dan.

The current set-list features classics such as Gaucho, Peg, Babylon Sisters, Josie, Kid Charlemagne and Reelin in the Years and with The Dan having an expansive catalogue of songs, Pretzel Logic is always expanding their repertoire.

The Pretzel Logic band is firing on all cylinders with their enigmatic and unique arrangements of songs, creating a cascade of colour with their infectious tunes.
