The Love Rats

Tuesday 17 December 7.00pm

Having all grown up together in Perth, Western Australia, this new group have a deep musical connection that spans over 10 years, allowing for a unique, creative experience. Although the group have played together for over a decade, very rarely have they formalized this connection into a band of their own. The band are currently studying at the prestigious James Morrison Academy of Music, where they are taught by the likes of Mat Jodrell, Carl Mackey and Grant Windsor to name a few.

The group will feature original music written by each member, inspired by all different styles of jazz ranging in influences all the way from blues to modern jazz, as well as fun arrangements of classic tunes.

Joining them for this gig is the ever swinging Zac Grafton on the double bass.

William Pethick: Trombone

Jayden Blockley: Saxophones

Jackson VanBallegooyen: Piano

Zac Grafton: Double Bass

Samuel Newman: Drums
