TARYN RYAN: West. End.

Monday 25 June 7.00pm

Homegrown Actor, Singer, and Musical Theatre darling Taryn Ryan (Once We Lived Here) is bound for new horizons. Two years after graduating from WAAPA (Music Theatre) she’s finally trading in her beloved West Australia for the West End of London…but not before one final hurrah at the Ellington!
Eight sleeps before the big move (she *really* hopes her bags are packed by now) Taryn invites you to join her for a goodbye bash full of show tunes from across the globe! With new arrangements and accompaniment by Perth-based London Composer and Music Director, Joe Louis Robinson, Taryn takes you through jazz-hands to the über dramatic with everything in between, as she interprets repertoire from Tin-Pan Alley and classic Broadway, West End blockbusters and European cabaret, concept albums, pop/folk crossovers, and contemporary Australian musicals. Featuring songs from Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Sondheim, Kander & Ebb, Jason Robert Brown, Adam Guettel, Sting, Sarah Bareilles, Bryant & Frank, and many more, as well as a cheeky couple of originals, is there any better way to pass a Monday night in June?
If you’re a long-time listener or if you’ve never seen her before, get yourself along and help send this rising-star off in a blaze of glory. With any luck one day you’ll be able to say “I was there when!”….plus she might even palm off some free memorabilia if her packing is going terribly.
