Swinging Back into the Twenties with Jessie Gordon!

Tuesday 31 December 8.00pm

It’s a re-entry to the Roaring Twenties and we couldn’t let the decade begin without having a wild celebration! So be dressed to impress and expect to hear some of the best songs from the 20s including the music of Louis Armstrong, Bessie Smith, Eddie Cantor, the Dorsey Brothers and Duke Ellington.

Jessie Gordon is Master of Ceremonies for the night, fresh off the plane from her 5 month world tour through America, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. She’s bringing her favourite songs to her favourite venue in town! Jessie is joined as usual by the swinginest musicians around; Jon Matthews on guitar, Karl Florisson on double bass and Michael Perkins on drums.

The night will be a whirlwind combination of 20s swing tunes, blues songs, a sojourn into the realm of new original music, a light smattering of storytelling and a hefty dollop of inappropriate humour, lubricated as always by fabulous cocktails provided by the Ellington bar staff! Come and ring in 2020 with us!

Welcome drink and tasting plate upon arrival, including Vinaceous bubbly, red or white and an antipasto or mezze (V) platter.
