PIJF: Swingin' at the Savoy
Sunday 08 November 6.00pm
It’s the roaring 20’s again and Swingin’ at the Savoy will sweep you back to the fun, glamorous and entertaining days of the swing era! They play infectious music from the 1920’s-1940’s from the likes of Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee and many other greats, along with their own original songs. Swingin’ at the savoy will get you snappin’ your fingers and keep a big smile on your face!
The band are having a busy year with sell-out Fringe World shows at the Ellington jazz club; festival events and river cruises. They are getting ready to go into the studio to record their debut album and to take their popular show around the state.
The individual band members have a great deal of experience in playing many styles of jazz and are well sought-after musicians, both in Western Australia and overseas.
