Megan Kate Grant
Armed with a tiny guitar, a harmonica and a stomp box, Megan Grant brings to the stage her simple but catchy folk songs about things we can all relate to. Breaking up, cleaning, taking naps and bears. Having made the transition from music to stand-up comedy and back again, Megan has finally found a way to blend it all together into an act that will leave you feeling both tickled and a little touched.
Megan has been invited to play at the Cairns ukulele festival in August and is super-excited to take her one-man ukulele band on the road.
WonderChild blazes with an arousing organic twist to indie pop. Mingling folk sensibilities with a jazz/rock punch, their creations whisk you into a dream or have you boogying in your boots. The stalk winged the leader, Anna-Kat, into the world whistling Paul Kelly & Joni Mitchell, and thus a disarming honesty saturates their songs. However, don’t come expecting solely wistful poetry and lilting verse, a rye humour amidst the verses packs a punch!
The WonderChildren comprise of; Shai Martin a jovial dingo-esque bluesy monster of the ivories. The effervescent queen of accapella features Pippa Lester on vocals & violin, and the inflammable Tao Issaro torches all forms of percussion with his deadly hands. Each musician are presently studying or freshly graduated from WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts), and have toured or performed nationally & internationally.
Ezereve is no ordinary singer / songwriter / guitarist. This 29 year old mum of four is passionate about making a difference and inspiring others through music. Ezereve is a folky Norah Jones, singing from the heart, with whispery, smooth-as-melted-butter vocals.
As a world vision artist, Ezereve’s goal is to raise $20,000 from the sales of her album ‘Knocking on the Shore’ for a World Vision Child Rescue Centre in Cambodia. Ezereve’s song ‘we will change the world’ featured on ABC documentary ‘Loves makes a way’, which was aired on national television on the program ‘Compass’.
