Sofie Kerr: From Stage to Standard

Join Sofie Kerr and her top tier band as they delve into the world of musical theatre and jazz, swinging and singing many of the most famous jazz standards taken from musicals, stretching from Cabaret and Guys and Dolls to famous jazz renditions of the Sound Of Music. The night promises some of the old and new in renditions of both jazz and theatre favourites. Sofie was brought up with these standards in both their jazz and musical theatre form, and will infuse her own stylings to the arrangements. She is an exciting emerging jazz artist entering the Perth jazz scene. Currently in her third year of study at WAAPA, Sofie is completing a bachelors degree in vocal jazz. At the ripe young age of 20, Sofie’s sophisticated style and charismatic stage presence have already begun capturing the attention of Perth’s discerning jazz audiences. With recent appearances alongside some of her most revered and favourite jazz musicians here in Perth, some of which will be joining her on stage for this brilliant evening.
