Sinatra 100 with James Flynn
Saturday 12 December 7.00pm
Frank Sinatra is a voice for all generations. His showmanship and artistry have remained unmatched since he began performing professionally in the 1930s to his last recording 21 years ago. Today, he continues to gain popularity for his classic sound and signature style.
Vocalist James Flynn credits Sinatra with his introduction to the Great American Songbook and his influence has clearly helped shaped Flynn’s own career.
He toured the UK performing as Sinatra in a musical written and produced by himself called “Streisand & Sinatra – Through the years”. In Australia he performed the lead in “Singin’ Sinatra” to sell out concerts with The West Australian Symphony Orchestra at His majesty’s Theatre and later went on to tour another original production, “Simply Sinatra” nationally & internationally. Flynn also wrote and produced this production which gave birth to the tremendously popular ‘Fly little Big band’.
Francis Albert Sinatra was born today, the 12th of December 1915.
It’s only fitting that we join the global celebration in honour of his 100th birthday.
Tonight James is joined by a stellar line up of musicians:
Graham Wood – Piano, Adam Sprighetti – Bass, Ben Falle – Drums & Ray Walker – Guitar
Expect an evening of wonderful music and entertainment.
