Simone Craddock - Sunshine to the Soul

Wednesday 29 July 7.00pm

Internationally acclaimed Vocalist and Actress Simone Craddock, returns to the stage for the first time since her award-winning performance at The Ellington five months ago. During this lengthy period of isolation, Ms Craddock has had much time for reflection, and has decided that happy songs are the way forward. Joyous songs that uplift, inspire, encourage, fortify and elevate the spirit are sunshine to the soul, and as such, should be consumed daily. Along with gin.

Simone Craddock is the recipient of the 2020 Fringe World Music & Musicals award for her sold-out season of Nina, Love Simone. Her dual career in music and theatre has taken her across Asia, Europe and The States. Last year, Simone returned to her hometown of Perth, following 20 years based out of London. She has performed in Europe’s most prestigious venues, including Ronnie Scotts, Yacht Club de Monaco, Houses of Parliament and Australia House. She has a presence born of leading roles on the West End stage & International tours of Annie, Jesus Christ Superstar, Dirty Dancing and Hello Dolly!

Tonight Simone joins forces with Perth luminaries, Mr Harry Mitchell at the piano, Dr Nick Abbey on Bass and Mr Bronton Ainsworth on drums, to shake off the lock-down blues and share life-affirming moments in jazz, bluesgospel and of course, a healthy dose of sunshine to the soul!

“Clever and unique, imprinting her stamp…captivated faces hanging on her every note” London Jazz News
