Simone Craddock - I Remember You
Thursday 11 November 7.00pm
Simone’s Grandad was just 16 years old when he served in WWI. He didn’t speak of his time in the trenches until he was interviewed 70 years later.
Tonight, Simone shares his inspiring story of survival, told through a catalogue of beautiful Jazz standards spanning two world wars, and his own words.
From the morale-boosting ‘Pack Up Your Troubles’, ‘Sheik of Araby’ and ‘Keep the Home Fires Burning’ to the swinging sounds of The Andrews Sisters and the tender ballads of Forces Sweetheart, Dame Vera Lynn.
In loving remembrance of Charles ‘Len’ Pooley, and all the brave young soldiers that served. Lest we forget.

Harry Mitchell – Piano
