Prita Grealy and Jaimi Faulkner

Wednesday 11 January 7.00pm

Ellington Show featuring Jaimi Faulkner & Prita Grealy, these two powerhouse performers will be showcasing their new songs as part of a WA tour this January 2017 after touring throughout Europe’s club and festival circuit for the last few years.

Jaimi Faulkner

To regard Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Jaimi Faulkner as just another singer/songwriter would be a mistake. Since having won the MBAS Blues Performer of the year award back in 2007 and representing Australia in the International Blues Challenge, Faulkner has gone from strength to strength releasing 4 studio albums, headlining Club tours in Europe as well as opening for the likes of Tom Odell, Crosby Stills & Nash, Tony Joe White, Chris Isaak and Paul Young. Faulkner is touring Australia in January 2017 to promote his latest release LIVE AT THE BEUSICHEM THEATRE. Do not miss your chance to see him live.

Prita Grealy
‘Australian Hip Soul Folk Live Loops’

Once you experience Prita’s exceptional live loop show, you’ll be hooked by her soulful rhythmic songs and captivated by her stunning vocal performance. It’s easy to see why ‘European audiences are sitting up and taking notice of this captivating musician from Fremantle’. After supporting the likes of Simply Red, John Paul Young, and Ed Kowalczyk of the band ‘Live’. Prita moved to Berlin to pursue her international touring dream, and has been busy touring Europe & the UK ever since. Showcasing her 7th independent CD, ‘Northern Lights’ on her return to WA this January 2017. Prita’s unique sound is ‘Hip-So-Fo’. It combines her love of Hip-Hop, Soul and Folk with the use of a live loop pedal and effortlessly layers funky urban harmonies, acoustic fingerpicking guitar and beat boxing. Prita has been likened to KT Tunstall, Tracy Chapman and Norah Jones.
