TRIO ELF (GER) - Perth International Jazz Festival

Sunday 11 November 6.00pm

As part of the new German jazz generation who don’t give a damn about genre borderlines, they have created their own style over the 13 years they have been circulating the globe.

Teamwork as blind trust – Gerwin Eisenhauer’s breakbeats, Walter Lang’s grand piano tones, often electronically distorted and Peter Cudek’s basslines combine to unite opposites. Soft-loud, consonant-dissonant, minimalistic-intricate and more. The unique TRIO ELF sound is a formula of club culture grooves, drum ‘n’ bass, house and 2-step with pianistic lyricism.

“TRIO ELF continues its signature exploration of the best of what’s out there in the world of sound.” – Downbeat Magazine.

Their album “’Music Box Music’ walks a line, with perfect balance, between the modernistic hyper-rhythmic piano trio, and the more lyrical, traditional side of the format.” –
