Kristian Borring (DNK) - Perth International Jazz Festival

Kristian Borring, Danish jazz guitarist and composer, has been praised for his sense of tasteful melody and colorful harmony delivered in a cool playground of rhythm. He has numerous albums to his name. The latest, Live at The Vortex (2017), was recorded with his London quartet. Kristian’s music is engaging and provides the listener with exciting twists and turns. Expect hard swing to no nonsense grooves and contemplative melodies to intricate musical interplay. Kristian has claimed his reputation as an outstanding guitarist and improviser from the London scene, and has performed in clubs and at festivals around the UK and Europe, and more recently also Australia. He has worked with a great variety of names including: Archie Shepp, Will Vinson and Jim Hart.

Make the most of you festival weekend and take advantage of our State Theatre Centre Weekend Pass at $200, giving you access to 23 shows, in two close venues, over three days. Day passes are also available for Friday ($60), Saturday ($100) and Sunday ($100). Pass only valid at State Theatre Centre performances. Please note all Perth International Jazz Festival performances at Ellington Jazz Club, The Bird and Downstairs at The Maj are sold separately.
Pass holders will need to arrive at least 15mins before the performance to ensure their seat. 15mins before each show, tickets will become available for single ticket buyers. The pass does not guarantee entry to sold out performances or for late arrivals.
