Minness Album Launch - Perth International Jazz Festival

Sunday 28 May 4.00pm

Led by Luke Minness, this performance will be the culmination of Minness’ heavy influence from modern jazz and electric pop.  At this concert the band launches its debut album, self-titled and now to be released at the final leg of their Australian tour, the Perth International Jazz Festival.

Since moving to Perth Luke has made a living as a session musician, recording with groups like groups like Fat Sparrow, Career Advice, Drapht and Daniel Susnjar’s Afro Peruvian Band, while landing a nomination for WAMI’s best Jazz Composition and the Alan Corbet Scholarship for emerging Perth artists.

Luke continues to recorded, released and performed music as both a leader and sidemen around Perth today. He has also studied and performed with artists like The Cat Empire, Drapht, Abbe May, Jamie Oehlers, Mace Francis, Dane Alderson, Ed Partyka, Kristin Beradi and many others.
