Miles Gilbert - WAAPA Graduation Recital

Monday 04 November 8.00pm

As my time at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts draws near, it has reinforced the appreciation of what I have learned under the guidance and influence of many incredibly talented and hard working teachers and students. Not only has it been an amazing journey, it has also given me the valuable contacts to play in many different genres which have taken me from local bars to touring around WA, over the Eastern States and to have the opportunity to learn and experience the music in New York at the New York University.
Tonight I would love to share some music influenced by modern jazz to more contemporary psychedelic fusion which has had the biggest impact on my playing and love of music in general.
I’m incredibly grateful for the talented musicians joining me on stage tonight.
