Mama Red & the Dark Blues – Heavy Harmony

Friday 18 May 7.00pm

Mama Red & the Dark Blues are bringing the big vocals, just for you, to the Ellington Jazz Club.

Bringing you loved tunes from The Wages of Sin, new offerings from the upcoming album and some classic bluesy covers, this gig will take you on a musical journey to Hades via Lost Love Canyon, Near Miss Alley and Shotgun Street – and bring you out feeling like you’ve ridden a thousand miles on a horse named Sorrow, but lived to tell the tale.

Intimate and exposed, this show brings you the individual vocal and harmonic stylings of the divine Dark Blues, stripped back, with a range of raw and resonant new songs and stories to share. It will also showcase the talents of some of Perth’s most incredible musicians, who will weave you a deep and immersive sound narrative.

Joining us on stage this evening will be some of Perth’s gentlemen of heavy harmony – so be prepared for some goosebump inspiring voices coming your way.
