Libby Hammer & Jessie Gordon are The Anatomically Incorrect Gentlemen
Thursday 28 December 7.00pm
Libby Hammer and Jessie Gordon are the Anatomically Incorrect Gentlemen. Join them as they sing you through their Analysis of Life as a Real Man and their Interesting Choices in Capitalisation. Libby is a jazz singer with talents that know no bounds. She can sing, dance, juggle, act, clown and make a mean cup of tea, all at the same time. She is Perth’s own resident jazz diva, a multiple WAMI award winner and an all round wonderful chap. Jessie is a very sun-shy red-headed jazz singer who enjoys swing music, dancing in her kitchen to Otis Redding, eating cheese at any given opportunity and singing in the shower and every other (shaded) venue. She likes old fashioned high waisted pants and a good solid bow tie.
Through vintage versions of all of their favourite hits (including Sharp Dressed Man by ZZ Top or JT’s Suit and Tie), to grammatically and politically corrected versions of jazz standards (like Ain’t Misbehavin’), The Anatomically Incorrect Gentlemen will inform and delight. With matching ukuleles and voices blended in harmony, these two raffish gents will transport you to a world where gender is a performance and music is a state of mind.
