Kane Shaw - WAAPA Jazz Recital

Tuesday 21 November 6.00pm

Kane Shaw invites you to celebrate the culmination of four years of jazz study at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA)!

Kane is a young, talented double bassist who is rising up through the Perth music scene. He has already travelled nationally, representing WAAPA at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival (2017), and internationally to Japan, as part of the Western Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra’s (WAYJO) exchange program.

In his graduation recital Kane will perform a variety of songs with a diverse band – ranging from an intimate duo, to a barrage of sound blasting from his septet. The night will include original compositions and arrangements of timeless standards showcasing his prowess on the double bass.
