Juliana Areias – the Bossa Nova Baby – invites you for a sensuous evening of passion and sophistication celebrating the joyful watercolour of rhythms and sounds of Brazil.

The concert features stunning arrangements of timeless bossa and samba classics – such as “Mas que Nada” and Jobim’s “The Girl From Ipanema” – as well as the songs of her acclaimed first original album Bossa Nova Baby.

Juliana Areias will be accompanied by a stellar lineup of  Western Australian Jazz Musicians – Paul Millard (sax / flute), Shai Martin (piano), Adam Springhetti (bass) and Vince Pavitt (drums).  

Together they will take you in a sensational musical journey of rhythms, improvisations, fusions and magic.

Juliana Areias has been delighting audiences worldwide. Her career includes performances at Montreux Jazz Festival, Sydney Opera House, Ronnie Scott’s (London), Auckland Festival, Beco das Garrafas (Rio), Perth International Jazz Festival, Kings Park Festival and in Darling Harbour for over 30,000 people. Her Bossa Nova Baby album has featured as the “Changing Face of Australian Music” on ANC Radio National; and on radio in Australia, Europe, Japan, the United States, New Zealand and Latin America.
