Joshua Cusack - WAAPA Graduation Recital

Joshua Cusack Is a Composer, Arranger and Bassist from Fremantle W.A. After having spent the last few years working on his craft at WAAPA we have come to his final graduation recital.

With influences from greats ranging from Duke Ellington to Jim McNeely and Gil Evans his music is a mix of Avant Guard and some more traditional aspects.

On this night Joshua will be premiering his new suite of music for Jazz Dectet aptly titled “Graduation Day Suite”. The night will feature this suite as well some of Joshua’s Arrangements and original compositions performed by his amazing band of tricksters.

Trumpets- Harry Josland, James Chapman

Trombones- Blake Phillips, Alistair Barrow

Rhythm Section- James Obrien (P), Max Jones (CB)  Miles Gilbert (D)
