Jessie Gordon: A Work of Friction Live

Wednesday 20 March 7.00pm

Jessie is a very sun-shy Perth red-headed jazz singer who enjoys swing music, dancing in her kitchen to Otis Redding, eating cheese at any given opportunity and singing in the shower and every other (shaded) venue. Her main musical passion is jazz, blues and roots music.

Jessie started singing professionally at the age of 15 and has fronted big bands, jazz duos and every sized band in-between. She has toured Australia, South East Asia, Germany, France, Spain and Poland. She is also a 15 time Fringe World Music and Cabaret Award winner.

Jessie has five CDs to her name, including a 2018 release of her own original music titled A Work of Friction. For this night at her favourite Perth live music venue, she’s bringing the CD to life with a full 9 piece band and presenting a whole set of new material (some taken from her latest recording ‘Best Friends’ with Mark Turner).
