Jarrad Alexander - WAAPA Graduation Recital

Jarrad Alexander is a Jazz Drummer and composer studying at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. During his 4 years of study, Jarrad has performed numerous styles and Genres with local Jazz/Contemporary Ensembles, including the Wyvern Jazz big band, Caren Carpenter tribute band, Vocal ensemble and Funk band to name a few. In July 2018, Jarrad was accepted to study with NYU (New York University) in France, Paris. Where he took part in an intense 2 weeks of workshops from the worlds most renowned Musicians to further Develop his skills.

He has adopted musical language influenced by Max Roach’s approach to melodic development, the Speed and intensity of Tony Williams with Miles Davis’s second great Quintet, Tommy Igoe’s Loud excessive big band feel, and Steve Gadd’s Groove.

His recital will include an array of Original music and standards that will reflect on what he has learnt as a Performing artist.

All WAAPA Graduation Recitals are ticketed separately. If you wish to attend multiple recitals, please purchase tickets separately for each recital that you wish to attend.

Table restricted view refers to a few table places which have sight line issues across the grand piano, but allow seated table entry.
