James Flynn & The Fly Little Big Band

Friday 22 November 7.00pm

Join popular entertainer James Flynn for a swinging weekend and his last performances at the Ellington this year. Another swinging compilation of great tunes from the 40’s & 50’s featuring new arrangements for hits from Andy Williams,Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis,  Buddy Greco, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Mel Torme as well as the usual sprinkling of Darin, Sinatra & Buble. Flynn puts, as always, his own spin on this music with fresh interpretations and clever arrangements.

The little big band have been playing together for 17 years now and are arguably the swiningest band in Australia.

James recently performed his original musical “Only You” at the Ellington last month and has since released the sound track. His 9th CD recording will be available on the night.

With the ‘Flynn Clan’ visiting from Scotland and in attendance, we can expect some surprises!

A guaranteed great night out for lovers of fantastic music and entertainment.

“We had the opportunity to jam together at one very fun show… his tenacity, and sheer energy and excitement paid off big for James, as the whole ship fell in love with him in that moment. He’s that good!”
