James Flynn & The Fly Little Big Band
Thursday 18 July 7.00pm
Join us for a very special night and enjoy two great shows for the price of one!
Due to growing interest to present my productions and this amazing band overseas & the Eastern States we’ll be filming this evening’s show. I will present highlights from my Sinatra show “Simply Sinatra” in the first half and the Bobby Darin show “Beyond the sea” in the second. The musicians and I will all be in dinner suits and ready to present a real swinging affair. I’m looking for a fun enthusiastic audience to be part of a little slice of magic that I hope to capture.
Filming will not affect your viewing pleasure, you won’t even know the cameras are there. Come along and enjoy a great night out. You won’t find a better nights entertainment on a Thursday!
James Flynn – Vocals, Mike Nelson – Piano, Adam Springhetti – Bass, Ben Falle – Drums, Simon Styles – Tenor, Paul Millard – Alto, Bill Macalister – Trombone & Mark Underwood – Trumpet.
The Fly little big band was formed back in 2003 specifically for a touring production I had written called “Simply Sinatra”. The band was first called ‘The Swinging lovers”, to fit the Sinatra theme but later changed to ‘The Fly little big band’ which has remained from 2006.
Over the last 16 years the band has enjoyed tremendous success performing at countless events, festivals, clubs & corporate functions, as well as featuring in another five touring productions: “That’s Amore” celebrating Dean Martin, “Beyond the sea” An evening with Bobby Darin”, “The Kings of swing” & “Gotta be Gatsby”.
The band recorded their first album together “As long as I’m Singing” in 2013
The personnel has changed through the years but the high standard and quality musicianship has always been maintained and remains synonymous with the band today.

“We had the opportunity to jam together at one very fun show…his tenacity, and sheer energy and excitement paid off big for James, as the whole ship fell in love with him in that moment. He’s that good! A seasoned live performer for sure, when he is on stage he communicates on such a different level…it’s inspiring”
