James Flynn - 'Come Fly With Me'

Thursday 01 October 7.00pm

Popular entertainer James Flynn is back in town for his first and only concert at Ellington in 2020. Flynn, who has spent the last decade touring and performing throughout South East Asia, found himself suddenly grounded in early March this year.  He decided to head to Denmark WA, where he is now based. Flynn quickly embraced the vibrant arts community and is now actively involved.  He will curate “Riverside Live” a series of monthly concerts over the next twelve months, where he will bring Perth artists to the Great Southern. He will also be part of the team at Denmark FM where he’ll host a variety of music programmes.

“During this challenging time we have all recognised the value of music, it’s a wonderful vehicle that can lift our spirits and take us on a journey. Join me and escape for a couple of hours with a fun evening of music and entertainment. Allow me to give you a little ‘Pick me up’ with a great night out. This evening we will be a mix of classic vocal tunes from ‘The great American song book’.

Add to this, the magic and versatility of some of Perth’s top jazz musicians: Harry Mitchell on piano, Simon Styles on saxophone, Pete Jeavons on bass and Chris Tarr on drums and you have one helluva of a band and all the ingredients for a sensational evening of entertainment.

“Come fly with me, cause you ain’t flying anywhere else”
