Hale School Jazz

Sunday 11 June 6.00pm

Sunday 11 June sees The Ellington host the cream of Hale School’s Jazz Programme.  The school, renowned for its outstanding music program, has around 800 boys playing a musical instrument and a jazz programme with about 90 students playing across five groups. The Ellington is delighted to offer these talented young jazz musicians the opportunity to perform on a stage that has seen the likes of George Garzone and Joe Lovano.

The evening will showcase three ensembles from the School: Hale Jazz Orchestra, Hale Big Band and a small group of selected players from Years 7-12.

Whilst parents and friends of Hale are expected to grab seats fast, the evening is open to the general public who will experience the magic of several outstanding young ensembles on stage.

Doors open at 5.30pm for a 6.30pm start.
