Every great song starts with a great lyric. Freddie Grigson and Owen Measday appear together to feature superb jazz songs of the past and present, with a story to tell.
The evening presents the work of jazz icons such as Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Chet Baker, Kurt Elling, Carmen McRae and Gregory Porter.

Freddie Grigson has been at the forefront of Australia’s ever evolving jazz scene for the past forty years. His artistic virtuosity and authentic interpretation have earned him the reputation as one of the country’s most in demand guitarists.

Owen turns his smooth and intimate singing style to new interpretations of these classic songs. A regular performer at the Ellington Jazz Club, Owen has always enjoyed sharing his love of the music of this timeless era.

Tonight, we will display the talents of some of the finest musicians in the country. Come along and see these incredible musicians display their craft.
