Ciaran O'Sullivan Debut Album Launch with special guest Kankawa Nagarra (Olive Knight)

Irish born folk singer Ciaran O’Sullivan will be making his first appearance at The Ellington Jazz Club with the release of his debut album ‘Hero’. Opening the show will be blues and gospel powerhouse singer/songwriter, Walmatjarri elder Kankawa Nagarra (Olive Knight) (Fitzroy Crossing). Kankawa and Ciaran have previously collaborated with both singers having co-written a new song which is due for release in the coming months – more details to follow so stay tuned!

Ciaran’s album is a collection of songs which incudes the old traditional American hymn Wayfaring Stranger which features Ben Franz (pedal steel guitar / double bass), Brian Finnemore (guitars) and Niall Murphy (fiddle). A special evening is in store at The Ellington on 13 October with the sharing of Ciaran’s new music and songs and a special intimate performance from Kankawa Nagarra as guest support.
