Ça Ira: Bastille Day - presented by Katherine Curnow
Sunday 14 July 6.00pm
Formally known as La Fete Nationale or Le Quatorze Juillet, Bastille Day commemorates the Storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789; a monumental event in Paris at the beginning of the French revolution. Let Katherine Curnow take you on a musical journey that will tantalise your senses by covering French classics by Yves Mortand, Josephine Baker and, of course, Edith Piaf mixed in with a couple of modern favourites.
Local vocalist Katherine Curnow is an Ellington favourite and staple, performing for the last ten years at esteemed venues in London, UK, such as Bush Hall and The Troubadour and continues to gig regularly at various prestigious events and venues around Perth.
Ça Ira: Bastille Day encompasses Katherine’s love for the French culture, language, music and it’s most loved artists and is the perfect way to celebrate Bastille Day!
