Bomba Latin Fusion

Wednesday 28 February 7.00pm

Bomba Latin Fusion (BLF) brings the musical colours of contemporary Latin America to WA. Integrating a repertoire of Latin Pop, Rock, Cumbia, Salsa, Reggae, Afro-Cuban Roots, Funk & Soul. A selection from Latino legends, just in the same way you will hear it in any South American festival. Contagious percussive beats are naturally made to dance, energetic and fun.

Bomba Latin Fusion (BLF) was born in 2016 with the epicenter in its Latin American members who experienced the feel and groove of the Latin music scene in their natural hometowns Peru, Chile and Cuba. Miguel, bandleader, guitarist and singer, directs the band to embrace a true feel in the execution and interpretation. The percussion section blends traditional Afro-Cuban beats and it is formed by South American musicians, keeping the true Latin feel intact.

BLF does not create cultural boundaries, nor narrows its musical audience with the unusual repertoire; the band embraces and celebrates multiculturalism and plays with that natural energy of Latin American music to engage people of all backgrounds. Latinos will enjoy ‘the imaginary journey back home’ when listening to the band and others will discover a world of fun.

The performance integrates a rich variety of instruments, guitar, bass, keyboards, trombone, trumpet, sax, Andean flutes, Peruvian percussion (cajon), congas, bongos, timbales and drums.

BLF does not hold anything back; the aim is to fill the dance floor right from the start until the end of the show. The repertoire varies from Santana classics, classic Latin pop, to recent Latin radio hits from Carlos Vives, Juanes, Mana and other Latin American legends. This evening BLF will be paying tribute to Peruvian Cumbia and special guests will hit the stage to extend the journey.
