BABOOSHKA - A Tribute to Kate Bush

Tuesday 09 August 7.00pm

About KATE
The music of Kate Bush can be described as the most eclectic (or eccentric) music of our time. From the notable success of her 1978 debut studio album “The Kick Inside” to the bizarre “The Dreaming” (1982), she can go from the most ethereal moody vocal tones to shrieking brilliance in one breath.

Hailing from Kent in the United Kingdom, Kate began composing at the age of 13, her subject matter only a limit of her imagination. Discovered by Dave Gilmore (Pink Floyd) at the age of 16 she signed a contract with EMI and released her first single “Wuthering Heights” three years later. Conveying her narrative through music, lyrics, and dance, she has cultivated a fervent following spanning the decades.

Nikki Delaynii (Ruby Duo) and Kirsty Hulka (Sgt Hulka) team up for this intimate tribute to the early works of Kate Bush. Accompanied by Kirsty on keys and studio quality backing music, Nikki skillfully recreates the vocal prowess of Kate to deliver a nostalgic reminder of her music to audiences new and old.
