Advanced Standards and Scofield/Metheny - WAAPA Jazz Showcase

Tuesday 29 October 7.00pm

Come along and hear these amazing groups presenting the sounds of jazz through the ages and around the world. You will be entertained with compositions inspired by some of the most innovative artists of Jazz and Contemporary music artists.

These talented ensembles are made up of WAAPA Jazz students playing their take on tunes from the greats of the jazz and contemporary music scene past and present.

The ensembles draw from the repertoire of the jazz and pop masters such as Chris Potter, Gretchen Parlato, Dolly Parton and Erica Badu, and they performance features brand new arrangements of the songs composed by these artists. The compositions have been creatively arranged to feature the unique talents of each member of these fantastic ensembles.

Come down to the Ellington on Tuesday 29th of October and be entertained by some of WA’s most talented young musicians.

General Admission refers to patrons who have not purchased a membership.

Jazz Standard / Student applies to patrons who have purchased a Jazz Standard Membership and show this card on entry or to students who show their student card on entry.

Duke Duchess applies to those who have purchased a Duke/Duchess membership and show this card on entry.

Table restricted view refers to a few table places which have sight line issues across the grand piano, but allow seated table entry.
