Mace Francis Orchestra: The Music of Kenny Wheeler

Canadian trumpeter and composer, Kenny Wheeler, released the ECM album – A Long Time Ago – 20 years ago featuring an eight piece brass ensemble with guitar and piano. Tonight performance with feature trumpeters Ricki Malet and Niran Dasika featured on this iconic suite performed in the second set. The first set will premier a new brass ensemble called Spatula, featuring Ricki Malet, Niran Dasika, Mace Francis and Rob Coleman playing music from Kenny Wheeler, Bjork, Mace Francis and Duke Ellington.
