About Us

The Ellington Jazz club features the finest touring acts and the cream of Australian Jazz talent in an intimate environment. World class Jazz, warm hospitality- and early sets so you can drop in after work.

Reservations can be made for table seating online and we ask that you arrive and are seated before the performance begins.  If you have missed out on a table seat or have not booked, there are some bar stools available in the bar area.

Check show pages for show start times and pricing. The Ellington opens half an hour before the first scheduled show time for the night and closing times may vary. We are licensed until 1am weeknights, 3am Friday and Saturday and 12am Sunday.

The Ellington Jazz Club strives to present a wide range of musical styles including jazz and jazz influenced music. We value gender equality, racial diversity and sexual orientation for our performers and patrons, with all being welcome. We strive to present the highest quality music possible in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment for all. The Ellington is a seven night a week jazz club that presents more than 600 shows per year and is recognised as a great place to perform and listen to music.



Monday to Thursday: 6:30pm – 10pm

Friday & Saturday: 6:30pm – 1:30am

Sunday: 5:30pm – 9pm
